I'm an architect. No, I won't bore you saying that I draw buildings (although you can clearly see it from my gallery) and make up plans for rich people. I'm a different kind of architect. I'm an architect of dreams.
I take my black ink pen (of course, I'd rather have one of those feather pens, but some would say it's too old, and out of fashion) and I begin drawing lines. Oh, I forgot to tell you I'm also a skywriter. With this black pen I draw aimlessly on clouds and whisper to them stories I myself have never heard of. Stories of smiles, of leaves falling down, of young girls that catch a snapshot glimpse from the eyes of their lovers, of rivers flowing ragingly and tumultously, of letters in a bottle, of thought written on walls, of a boy smoking cigars on the sand, listening to the whispers of the sea, of rainbows in the morning after rainy nights, of trains fading away into the night. Then I blow the clouds and they drift away, scattering, dividing piece by piece until all dreams are safely docked in harbour. There's a drift in and out...
No, I've changed my mind. Architect sounds too practical, too stuck on reality. So let's call myself a dreamweaver. Yes, that should do.
But one may wonder: "what does a dreamweaver do? It's not a real job, so how does he or she do for a living?" Now, my reader, I feel compelled to pop in and make things clearer, or at least to the extent things can be clear when it comes to dreams. As you noticed, the dreamweaver (or the architect of dreams, as formerly called) takes dreams when they are still young and unfolds them slowly, gently, with the sort of feeling a mother has when taking care of her youngster. He then weaves them with some other dreams, and so on, untill all dreams are read, re-read, over and over again...
If you didn't know, dreamweavers have all sorts of dreams they mingle and make beautiful canvases - dreams of rain, and of suns, windy dreams or watery dreams, dreams at sundown or at sunset, sepia dreams, black and white dreams or colourful ones, theatrical, dramatic, tragical dreams or simply common dreams. They come in all sorts of shapes and colours. And there are also dreams certain dreams for children, and for grown-ups. Children dream of peter pans, and snow whites, and "first star on the left and straight ahead till morning", and grown-ups dream of career, or money, or whatever. But sometimes, grown-ups are fed up with their dull dreams, and have children dreams. That is why they have that hidden smile in the corner of their mouth.
But other times, these dreams have a price to pay for. The way to a dream may be full of obstacles and difficulties, but it's worth every penny of it. Because you have no greater joy than a dream accomplished. Sometimes, it is too hard that you feel like giving up, letting go. Many of the dreamers give up their dreams, so they should no longer be called dreamers, but empty and aimless poor guys. And there are dreamers who would give anything in the world to make their dreams come true.
Among these dreamers, and non-dreamers, wander the dreamweavers. Or the architects of dreams. or sky-writers. or fishermen of clouds.

It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.

If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick one of those pieces up and begin again
